Texas Tech starts off very strong and in the first 5 minutes of the game immediately scores an 11-2 partial. Iowa State in the second half of the first half is more combative, however, and manages to get back into the game, getting closer to the Red Raiders, up to -2, 13-15. After the break in the first half of the period, the second part of the period serves Texas Tech only to consolidate the advantage and to express a high quality of play, in front of which Iowa State can do nothing. The Red Raiders end the match with a 72-52 win over Iowa State.

For Davide Moretti, a second half as absolute protagonist, especially from the offensive point of view with 17 points, 2 assists and 2 rebounds in 33 minutes.
