The Red Raiders opened the season with an 85-60 non-conference win over Eastern Illinois on Tuesday in front of a sold-out United Supermarkets Arena.

The game was in balance until half of second period, then Red Raiders started dominated from all points of view, closing the first half ahed for 46-31. Initially a difficult first period for Davide Moretti, but he turned on in the second half with three great minutes of game with two 3-points shots, a jumper, two assist and two rebound, that allowed Texas Tech to gain a greater advantage and win the match for 85-60.

For Davide Moretti: 13 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assist and 1 block in 24 minutes.
